Four storefronts are changing hands downtown this fall. One opened in August, one is trading now on North Main Street, and two are listed as coming soon at Broadway Plaza.

Läderach, open now. The Swiss chocolatier cut the ribbon on its Broadway Plaza shop on Friday, Aug. 14, in the food court next to Macy's. Mayor Kevin Wilk and city economic development staff were there, the city said. The center lists the shop at 1275 Broadway Plaza, open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, at (925) 404-5461. Läderach has been family-owned since 1962 and is known for FrischSchoggi, its extra-large tablets of fresh chocolate.

VICI, open now. The clothing label lists a Walnut Creek store at 1366 N. Main St. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The phone number is (925) 517-3444. It is one of three VICI stores, alongside Nashville and an outlet in Fairfield.

Sur la Table, coming back. The kitchen store's own site lists a Walnut Creek location at 1205 Broadway Plaza as "opening late fall," and the center's directory marks it coming soon. Services listed for the store include knife sharpening and a gift registry. Sur la Table started in 1972 at Pike Place Market in Seattle. No opening date has been announced.

Rowan, coming soon. The ear-piercing studio and jewelry brand is listed as coming soon in the Broadway Plaza directory. Rowan says its piercings are done only by licensed nurses, under a protocol it calls the Rowan Clinical Piercing Standard, and that it has more than 100 locations around the country. No opening date has been announced.
