National Weather Service Extends Coastal Flood Advisory for 1.2- to 1.6-Foot High Tides
Along the coast and bay shoreline, the National Weather Service extended its coastal flood advisory from Sonoma County south to Monterey County as astronomical high tides continued running 1.2 to 1.6 feet above normal average tide heights. Forecasters advised residents and drivers in low-lying bayfront and coastal corridors that peak tide times inside San Francisco Bay and San Pablo Bay can vary by up to 90 minutes from outer coastal benchmarks, creating localized water pooling across shoreline trails, boat ramps, and underpasses.
