Concord's Taco Trail is open through Oct. 15

Concord's Taco Trail, a month-long celebration of the city's vibrant taco culture, kicked off on September 15 and will run through October 15, offering residents and visitors a unique culinary adventure. The self-guided trail features more than 40 family-owned taquerias and restaurants, each offering a taste of the diverse flavors that make Concord a taco lover's paradise.

The Taco Trail is not just a food tour but a community event that brings together local businesses and families. Participants can pick up a challenge card and map from any participating restaurant or the Concord Visitor Center, embarking on a journey to collect stickers from each stop. This initiative not only supports local businesses but also encourages residents to explore different parts of the city, fostering a sense of community and pride.

The Taco Trail is a continuation of Concord's efforts to highlight its rich culinary heritage. The city has a long history of celebrating its diverse cultural offerings, and this event is another step in showcasing the vibrant food scene. The trail was officially launched with a kick-off party at Las Montañas Supermarket on September 11, featuring mariachi music and free tacos, setting the tone for a month of culinary delights.

Participants can collect stickers at each of the more than 40 stops, with the goal of visiting as many taquerias as possible. The challenge card doubles as a scorecard, with the person who collects the most stickers being named the 2026 Taco Trail Champion and receiving a $250 taco party and taco-themed merchandise. Additionally, the Fan Favorite Taqueria and Best Salsa titles will be awarded based on votes emailed to programs@visitconcordca.com. All winners will be announced on Friday, October 16.

Residents and visitors can pick up their challenge cards and maps at the Concord Visitor Center, located at 2151 Salvio St., Suite T, open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or at any participating restaurant.
