Center REP's Artistic Director Matt M. Morrow and cast members preview Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors at Walnut Creek Library.

Center REP's Artistic Director Matt M. Morrow and cast members will visit the Walnut Creek Library on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. for a free preview of Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors, the company's upcoming production of the internationally acclaimed farce.

The event is part of the Walnut Creek Library Foundation's "Live! From the Library" series, which hosts evenings with authors, scholars, community leaders and entertainers at the library's Oak View Room, 1644 N. Broadway. No tickets are required, but the foundation asks attendees to register at www.wclibrary.org.

Beyond the sneak peek at Dracula, Morrow plans to discuss Center REP's 2026–27 season, the state of regional theater in Northern California and the company's vision as it approaches its 60th season. Center REP describes itself as Contra Costa County's only professional theater company, according to the announcement posted by the City of Walnut Creek.

The library foundation and Center REP called themselves long-time partners who "share a belief in the power of ideas, creativity, and the arts to bring people together and strengthen our community," according to the release.
