A car rolled and slid on its roof toward a Jeep parked at N. California Boulevard and Cypress Street in Walnut Creek at about 1:09 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, according to a report from News24-680.
The crash woke nearby residents, who reported hearing the sound of impact and grinding metal. Witnesses who went outside found the car had flipped while heading north on N. California Boulevard, taken out a stretch of fencing and then slid on its roof toward the parked Jeep before coming to a stop.
Witnesses watched as two people made their way out of the overturned vehicle and fled the scene, the report said. Officers arrived to investigate.
As of the report's publication, there was no word on whether the occupants had been located.
